My Story
Since a little girl, I've always been drawn to the unknown. Curiosity was always the first impulse of the mind when presented with something new. Materialistically, I grew up with little. Universally I am abundantly blessed! I was the kid who was always found outside of the house climbing trees, playing with the neighbors' kids, or biking the town until I get soaking wet with sweat and slightly dehydrated after being under the tropical sun for hours on end. Nature and being outside was my refuge from the not so peaceful household I grew up in.
While the children around me were busy following trends, I was busy observing people's behaviors and be so totally curious why people do things the way they do it. I was always full of questions. And always, without failure, I find answers to my questions in nature, and ultimately, in God/ the Universe/ the Supreme Reality. Whatever you want to label it.

In my adulthood, somehow I lost touched. I got disconnected to my innate knowing. Life happened in a way that I didn’t quite anticipated. My curiosity became people pleasing, my wander became being lost, and my faith in the higher power turned into accumulating stuff to fit in. Then came depression and suicidal thoughts. For years I've let myself be lost in this space.
Until YOGA found me.

From a place of wanting to end everything, my life shifted to being in everything. Being with life, instead of against life. Being in pain, rather than pushing pain. Being in joy, rather than wanting to hold on to joy. Yoga brought me in a state of awakening into the vastness of existence. That wherever I am in my consciousness, (or life), all of it is perfect and exactly where it should be. With this knowing, I gained back my relationship with my Self, and the beauty of life.

I see clearly with my heart widening without limitations and my humanness welcomed with compassion.

My love for life and my love for Yoga is what I want to share with my students. I am still here because of Yoga and may this path I am on be an instrument to guide others find their way back to the path of loving life and Self again. Let's walk each other home.
